Setting & Nearby
The bungalow sits near the front of an agricultural neighborhood where roadside farm stands may sell local produce; the community also has three parks. Lower Puna’s coastal roads, a Sunday drum circle, Wednesday evening live music and a kava bar at Uncle Robert’s, and geothermal soaking ponds at Pohoiki are among the area’s noted attractions.
Best for
This unit suits travelers seeking a self-catering stay near Kehena Black Sand Beach, with a full kitchen, beach access, and a private outdoor shower. Remote workers may also find it practical thanks to the dedicated office space and high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi.
Travel tips
Renting a car is strongly recommended because Big Island destinations are spread out; Hilo International Airport is about 38 km away. Use the parking space marked “Aloha” near the front corner of the house, and keep outdoor lights low in keeping with the neighborhood’s dark-sky policy. A bus stop is listed 184 m away, while nearby dining options are several miles from the property.
