Room character appears to vary, so travelers should set expectations for a basic, economy-style motel room rather than a full-service hotel.

Amenities

Location

The motel sits roughly 8 to 17 kilometers from a wide range of Memphis attractions, including the National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Graceland, the Memphis Zoo, and Tom Lee Park. This positions it as an affordable base on the Arkansas side of the river for visitors planning to explore Memphis's music, civil rights, and cultural landmarks by car.

Best for

This motel best suits budget-conscious road travelers, truckers, and drivers passing through the West Memphis/Memphis corridor who need affordable lodging with ample parking. It also works for visitors willing to drive a short distance into Memphis to reach major attractions like Graceland, Sun Studio, and the National Civil Rights Museum, given its lower price point relative to in-city hotels.

Travel tips

Since the hotel sits on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River, guests will need a vehicle to reach Memphis attractions, most of which are 8 to 17 kilometers away. Ample truck and car parking makes it convenient for road-trippers or long-haul drivers stopping overnight. Given mixed reviews on room condition, it's worth requesting a recently remodeled room and inspecting it upon check-in.

What guests say

Guest feedback is mixed, with some reviewers praising a remodeled interior, friendly and helpful staff, affordable pricing, and clean rooms with plenty of parking, including space for trucks. Other reviewers report significant cleanliness and pest issues, including reports of roaches and possible bed bugs, and describe unresponsive service when requesting fresh linens. A recurring positive theme is the hotel's convenient location, while a recurring complaint involves inconsistent room quality and Choice Hotels loyalty program experiences falling short of expectations for at least one repeat member.
