Layout & Sleeping
Loft 301 is an open studio plan (no separate bedroom doors) designed to sleep up to four guests. Sleeping includes a queen bed with a memory-foam mattress plus a queen memory-foam pull-out sofa. Seating includes a kitchen island and a dedicated “unwind corner” with a leather chair and ottoman.
Kitchen, Laundry & In-Unit Comforts
The full kitchen is stocked for real cooking with an oven/stove, microwave, and tools like a stand mixer, blender, and baking sheets, plus a bar set. Coffee is a standout: guests have a French press, Chemex, burr grinder, and locally roasted beans, alongside hand-selected teas and spices. The unit also includes air conditioning, heating, in-unit washer/dryer, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi.
Building Access & Check-In
The William has an elevator for step-free access within the building, and entry is via keycard. Check-in and check-out are self-serve via Keycafe, with standard times of check-in after 4:00 PM and check-out before 11:00 AM. Quiet hours are enforced after 10:00 PM, and parties/events are not permitted.
Dining & Walkable Downtown Surroundings
The building sits above Carrigan’s, a popular Birmingham restaurant/bar, and guests of The William receive a special discount there. Travel tips
Plan for parking: there is no on-site parking; paid street parking and nearby lots are a couple of blocks away, and rideshare is recommended. Light sleepers should expect some downtown nightlife/traffic noise; blackout curtains, eyeshades, and earplugs are provided. If you’re flying in, Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) is about 6 miles (roughly 15 minutes) by car or rideshare, and the Birmingham Xpress (BX) bus line stops nearby.
