Guest rating: 5.0 / 5
Overview
This is a meticulously maintained mountain cabin tucked into a quiet, tree-lined street among the Ponderosa Pines of Munds Park, Arizona. The home is light and bright, with large south-facing dual-pane windows that fill the great room and kitchen with sunlight by day and mountain stars by night. Upgrades throughout include granite counters, stainless steel appliances, maple cabinetry, and real-wood floors, giving the space a rustic yet polished feel.
Rooms & Layout
The primary bedroom is located downstairs, while two additional bedrooms and a loft/office share a full bathroom upstairs, making the layout well suited to groups or multi-generational families. The primary suite includes a jetted tub, and a gas fireplace with a stone surround anchors the great room. Ceiling fans, a 50-inch smart TV with soundbar and Blu-ray player, and custom paint finish out the interior.
Outdoor Space & Amenities
An extended, oversized front patio with a partially covered wrap-around deck and gas grill creates a substantial outdoor living area, framed by large boulders and a spring run-off creek that curves around the property. Practical amenities include a full kitchen with oven, stove, and microwave, a washer, air conditioning and heating, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and ironing equipment. An open lot behind the home adds extra privacy from neighbors.
Family & Pet Friendly Extras
The cabin is set up specifically for children and pets, with a crib, stairway gates, a pack-n-play, and booster seats available on request, alongside numerous toys already on hand. It is a smoke-free property that welcomes both kids and pets without compromising on comfort.
Location & Recreation
Munds Park's community amenities -- a playground, tennis courts, golf, basketball, a clubhouse with a workout facility and restaurant, a community lake, and hiking trails into Munds Canyon -- are all within a short walk. Nearby dining options include Pinewood Bar & Grill, Roadhouse by Satchmo's, and NiMarco's Pizza, all within about 1.5 miles, while Flagstaff (roughly 20 miles north) and Sedona (roughly 40 miles southwest) are both easily reached, along with Snowbowl ski resort about 45 minutes away.
Best for
This cabin is best suited to families and groups traveling with young children and/or pets, given the crib, pack-n-play, stairway gates, booster seats, and abundant toys supplied on request. It also appeals to nature-focused travelers who want easy access to hiking, golf, tennis, and a community lake right in Munds Park, plus day trips to Flagstaff, Sedona, and Snowbowl. The three-bedroom-plus-loft layout and multiple outdoor living spaces make it especially good for multi-family or multi-generational getaways.
Travel tips
Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is the closest airport at about 22 km away, making it the most convenient arrival point, with Prescott Regional Airport as a farther alternative. A car is recommended for reaching the wider array of restaurants and attractions in Flagstaff and Sedona, since most named dining options sit 13-18 km from the cabin, while a handful of casual spots like Pinewood Bar & Grill and NiMarco's Pizza are an easy mile or two away. Because the home sits within Munds Park's community amenities, plan time to walk to the clubhouse, playground, or hiking trails without needing to drive at all.
