Los Angeles County, United States
Guest rating: 4.9 / 5
Overview
The Enchanted Manor- A Magical Hidden Oasis- Paradise!! is a private vacation-home estate in Valley Village, Los Angeles County, set on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac. It’s designed as a secluded “oasis” with a landscaped outdoor setting geared to relaxation, entertaining, and family downtime. The owner lives on the other end of the property and is available to help as needed while maintaining guest privacy.
Units & layout
The main unit includes a very large living room with a fireplace and two down couches, and it converts to sleeping space via a queen Murphy bed with a plush mattress. A full kitchen supports longer stays with an oven/stove, microwave, and essentials, plus in-unit conveniences like a washer, ironing board, air conditioning, and heating. An octagon-shaped breakfast room with French windows looks out over the pool and outdoor fireplace area.
Extra space: Great Room & “Secret Room”
For groups beyond one person or a couple, additional space can be added by unlocking the Great Room and the “Secret Room” for an extra per-person nightly fee. The Secret Room is hidden behind a bookcase and leads to a finished attic with four twin beds, accessed by ladder (not recommended for very young children, elderly guests, or anyone uncomfortable with climbing; low ceilings may be an issue for tall adults). The Great Room adds substantial additional living area and can also fit a queen air bed.
Outdoor amenities & recreation
Outdoor living is a major focus, with a saltwater pool, hot tub/jacuzzi, multiple patios and decks, an outdoor shower, and two BBQ/grill areas (including one near a fire pit). There’s also an outdoor fireplace with lounge seating and a gazebo bar area that’s positioned for relaxed meetups or informal meetings. The pool is not heated in winter unless arranged for an added cost.
Family features, security & house rules
Kid-focused features include a dedicated playhouse with child-size furniture and toys; a treehouse is currently not available (under rebuilding after falling down). Exterior security cameras cover perimeter areas including patio/deck/pool and the entrance; there are no interior cameras, and cameras do not record sound. Parties are not allowed for vacation renters without permission; events/filming are handled separately with specific pricing and guest-count limits.
Location & nearby access
The home sits close to multiple bus stops, including Coldwater Canyon / Magnolia (about 160 m) and Magnolia / Coldwater Canyon (about 182 m), making local transit relatively easy. Nearby dining includes Rustic Spoon Restaurant–Valley Village (Thai, ~655 m), Harvest Moon Kitchen (~710 m), and The Black Rabbit Cafe (~753 m). For air travel, Hollywood Burbank Airport is roughly 6.3 km away, while Los Angeles International Airport is about 24.9 km away.
Best for
This property best suits couples or small families seeking a private, outdoor-centric Los Angeles stay, thanks to the saltwater pool, hot tub, fire pit, patios, and BBQ areas. It can also work for groups up to six when the Great Room and ladder-accessed Secret Room are unlocked (with an added fee), especially for families with kids who will enjoy the playhouse and “hidden room” concept. Pet-friendly policies and free parking add appeal for road-trippers traveling with a dog.
Travel tips
If you plan to bring visitors, host any gathering, or unlock the Great Room/Secret Room for additional guests, coordinate with the owner in advance due to strict party/event rules and additional fees. In cooler months, budget for an optional pool-heating add-on if swimming is a priority, since the saltwater pool is not heated in winter by default. For getting around without a car, several bus stops are within a short walk, including Coldwater Canyon / Magnolia and Magnolia / Coldwater Canyon.
